I started this one in 1995 but never finished it for some reason. At the age of 17 i was already heavily influenced by the art of Yoshitaka Amano who became my idol.
I love it... The lazy pose and the little details like the (perfect in their expressiveness) hands and the tattoo are what won me over; and that ground. Find me weird, but those rocks are beautiful... She kind of makes me think... the 'smoking caterpillar' from Alice in Wonderland.
Amano is amazing, have to agree. His heavily detail-loaded work that always seems so effortless is one of the wonders of the world.
This is quite amazing really when you think that a 17 year old drew it.. when I was 17 my drawings sucked.. I guess my drawing suck now in comparison to yours now xD
